Mickey Gall is an undefeated welterweight fighter in the UFC.
Gall was discovered in late 2015 on one of the opening episodes of Dana White's reality TV series "Lookin' For a Fight." He had defeated an opponent and called out professional wrestler CM Punk who was set to soon debut in the UFC. White liked the idea and signed Gall to a UFC deal where he would fight a fellow newcomer -- the even more unheralded Mike Jackson -- to determine who would fight 'Punk.'
Gall demolished Jackson en route to a first round rear-naked choke submission and earned the right to fight the debuting Punk in the spring of 2016 at UFC 199.
After an injury to 'Punk,' the fight was off for the foreseeable future and eventually tentatively rescheduled for UFC 203 in September 2016. Gall predictably demolished Punk completely en route to a first round rear-naked choke submission victory. Gall then called out fellow Lookin' for a Fight discovery Sage Northcutt.
Gall defeated Northcutt via second round rear-naked choke submission after an entertaining and competitive back-and-forth fight. Gall next stated that he was moving down to the lightweight division and wanted to welcome back veteran Dan Hardy.
There was no apparent buzz for the Hardy fight and Gall didn't seem to mind much. He seemed to be enjoying his time off. Even the man he'd demolished, CM Punk, was reportedly waiting to announce his next opponent. Still, nothing from Gall yet.
