The first round began and they touched gloves. PBP. Doerksen landed an inside kick that grazed the groin but Riggs didn't want to pause. Doerksen shot and took Riggs down to guard. He worked back up to his feet. Doerksen took Riggs down again, Riggs sweeps him into guard against the cage. Riggs defended an armbar. Riggs landed some nice elbows. Doerksen got a reversal and scrambled to his feet into the clinch there. Doerksen landed a knee. Riggs replied. Riggs got a takedown into side control. Doerksen regained guard. Doerksen swept but Riggs scrambled back to his feet to the clinch. Riggs stuffed a single, reversed and landed on top in guard. Doerksen landed an upkick. Riggs was warned for missing a stomp. They stood. Riggs got another takedown. Riggs was defending a triangle. The first round ended. The second round began. Doerksen landed another inside kick to the groin and Riggs took a bit to recover from that one. Doerksen got a warning and they continued. Riggs stuffed a takedown. They clinched and Riggs got a takedown of his own to guard. Riggs picked Doerksen up and slammed him nicely. Riggs defended an armbar but got swept, Riggs kept the top position in guard during the ensuing scramble. Riggs landed a big elbow there. Riggs defended a triangle. He landed some good GNP. He passed to side control and landed more nice shots. Doerksen was bleeding badly in a bad spot. It was a nasty cut. Doerksen tapped out due to strikes.
