Gabe 'Godzilla' Ruediger is a lightweight mixed martial artist. He made his return to the UFC on decently short notice replacing Terry Etim against Joe Lauzon. Lauzon destroyed Ruediger in the best performance of his career, mercifully finishing him with an armbar exactly two minutes into the very first round
Ruediger has announced that Joe Silva has agreed to give him a second consecutive fight in the UFC. He was set to next face Paul Kelly. Ruediger was injured however, and replaced by TUF 12 preliminary loser T.J. O'Brien.
After recovering, Ruediger kicked off 2011 against Kelly's team-mate Paul Taylor. Taylor defeated Ruediger via second-round knockout and Ruediger was cut from the UFC afterwards.
Ruediger was inactive for the rest of 2011 and signed in March 2011 to make his Super Fight League debut in India against Paul Kelly. He was almost immediately injured, however, and replaced by Ryan Healy.
A year later Ruediger fought Scott Catlin in March 2012 losing via TKO thirty-six seconds into the second round. Ruediger hasn't fought since as of May 2013.
