The first round began. Mir was southpaw as they circled. Kongo missed a combination. They circled some more. Four twenty-five. Mir landed a big overhand left and dropped Kongo and pounced, locked up a standing guillotine and pulled half-guard with it tight, four minutes. It was tight. Kongo went limp with three minutes and forty-eight seconds remaining. It was all over, Mir had choked Kongo out cold. Mir checked on Kongo a few moments later. I believe this was also the first time Kongo was ever submitted.
