Edgar Garcia is a mixed martial arts fighter who fought at welterweight for the UFC before being cut from the promotion's roster after back-to-back losses to Damarques Johnson and Brad Blackburn, even though the Blackburn fight was a controversial decision and many thought Garcia had won it.
Garcia didn't fight for nearly a year afterwards. He finally got his opportunity in late 2010. He faced and defeated Alejandro Velasquez via second round triangle choke. The bout was Garcia's debut at middleweight as he went UP to 185 pounds. Two months later Gacia was already stepping in to replace fellow UFC veteran Jesse Forbes in Tachi Palace Fights against Mike Moreno. He defeated Moreno via first round guillotine choke submission.
Garcia pressed on to defeat Jason Anderson via early first-round TKO exactly a month after the Moreno bout.
Garcia next made his Bellator debut against Rage in the Cage veteran Jacob Ortiz. Ortiz defeated Garcia via knockout near the end of the first round after some great action.

I think Blackburn did.

- Jacob Ortiz vs. Edgar Garcia - The fight -- at middleweight -- was the Bellator debut of both men.
My Thoughts On Edgar[]
I still have my eye on him, and I bet the UFC does as well.
