The fight was the UFC debut of Diego Nunes and the return to the Octagon for Mike Brown.

The first round began and they touched gloves. Nunes landed a leg kick. He missed a high spinning back kick. Brown blocked a high kick and ate a leg kick. Four thirty-five. Brown blocked a high kick. Nunes stood and broke eating a hard left hook. Nunes was rocked, the leg went out from under him and he stood. They broke. Brown landed a big uppercut. One thirty-five. Nunes missed a spinning back kick. Nunes missed a spinning back fist. One fifteen. Nunes's left eye was swollen almost completely closed. One minute. Nunes landed an inside kick. Brown checked an inside kick and a blocked a high kick and blocked an axe kick. He blocked a high spinning back kick. Nunes landed a left hook and a blocked spinning back kick and a leg kick.
