The fight was Rory MacDonald's first loss, as the referee stopped the bout seven seconds away from a decision that likely would have gone to Rory if not a draw. It was however a warranted stoppage.
The Fight[]
The first round began and they touched gloves. Rory caught a body kick and got a single standing over him. He let him up. The crowd chanted Rory. Condit landed a leg kick and ate a right hand. Rory avoided a kneebar and they broke. One thirty-five. Condit kneed the body and they clinched. Condit kneed the face inside. Condit's nose was bloody. They broke. One fifteen. Greg Jackson screamed that he wanted 'five minutes of war' and Condit said 'alright' looking focused. The third round began and they touched gloves. Condit came out southpaw. The crowd booed. Rory's right eye looked nasty, it was badly swollen. Rory was very humble in defeat.
